Lowering Springs Stock Struts

Hey guys. Sorry if this has already been asked or been discussed, but I've tried searching and I haven't really come up with a good answer. Is it ok to put tein lowering springs on the stock struts. I know its preferred on aftermarket struts such as tokico blues or KYB but Im short on money (bet you havent heard that one before) and I still want to lower my car. So how bad would it be to put those lowering springs on stock struts. Thanks

Sell the Teins and get upgraded struts first.

haha only problem is I dont have the Teins yet lol. I was thinking of buying them tho and putting them on the stock struts cuz i got new rims and it looks like a 4x4

If you're doing the work yourself you'll only be wasting time, but if you're paying for install you'll be paying twice as much in the end.

Nothing at first, but you'll more than likely blow the struts out prematurely.

The struts will probably go out faster if your current struts have a lot of miles on them.

hahhaha alright so ill put the springs on till my stocks blow then upgrade hahaha but I guess ill save up for new struts then. Is the car still driveable on blown struts?

Seriously, just get the struts first, install, see how u like the ride, then do springs later if u wanna lower. Safety first: get the struts first, or at the same time as the springs.

The install isn't that bad, it's fine if u hafta do it twice, just be sure u do it right, which's, struts first, or struts and springs, but not springs on worn struts!!!

Just a thought... instead of modding, save up for maintenance. Struts counts as maintenance, springs do not.

ive got a gen 4 camry and wanted to lower it just like an inch... so you guys wouldn't recommend lowering it on stock struts?
