This are cheap versions of coilovers.
You put them over your struts like if you were puttin' on lowerin' springs, and use the threaded part to change the height of the car.
Personal this is a waste of money, and sometimes the ride is bouncy like no other, and you can bottom out way easier.

This is considered sleeve over suspension and is used over struts like sleeper said
if you get any sleeve over, get ground controls... otherwise don't bother at all
