Ice cold SC after WOT runs

Ice cold SC after WOT runs

Yup you read it correctly. Greg finally installed the Meth kit on the car using a dual nozzle setup (One before the blades 375 m/l and one after 175 m/l) and it keeps the sc really cold after several WOT runs. Almost too cold. You can put your hand on the sc and it feels like the cars not even on! Now the problem is finding out if the nozzles are too big. Quenching is the key but i may be over spraying right now.It doesn't feel like the car is bogging but it could run a little crisper. Once i get the car dyno tuned, We can figure out if im running too rich or just too much Meth. I'll try to put up pics of the install later.

Here are some cell phone pics. Sorry but its not the best quality.

Here's the reservoir tank that came with the kit. Greg made a custom bracket and mounted it on the bumper support.
Image

This is the Solenoid upgrade. You need this if your installing your first nozzle "After" the throttle body.
Image

This is the first nozzle. Its a 375 ml nozzle. We tapped directly into the SC right after the throttle body and before the blades/screws....whatever you want to call it. We realized tapping into the throttle body spacer sounded like a great idea, but wouldnt work.
Image

This is the second nozzle tapped into the SC after the blades. The nozzle is a 175 ml. The only problem im having is with the TRD strut brace. The nozzle hits the brace when i gas it up in reverse. My mount is no good. But i dont really need the brace right now.
Image

The kit comes with warning led lights. Here's where we put mine. Green led indicates that the pump is on and the red is a low meth indication light.
Image

Greg had a great idea with the controller. Since i dont use my ash tray, We put it in that location.

Sark,

you need Greg's solid rear mount. Makes a world of difference.

clean install but why would the TB spacer tap not work? cuz the TB flap valve would hit the nozzle?

Yes. Wont work on the front or back. Top would be too high and the bottom was a weird design we couldn't get the nozzle flush. So we said fuk it.

Hay Brian, ill get the mount done at a later time. I know that's where my problem is.

That's awesome dude. can't wait to hear what you learn at the dyno.

i thought the typical thing to do was to mount the meth injector before the TB, but after the MAF, by drilling a hole right into the side of the Injen/OBX or whatever aftermarket intake one might have.

If you do not want to tap the SC and spend money on a solenoid upgrade, You can just tap the intake. I went a little extreme with Gregs "Mega Mods" ideals. LOL. It all depends on what your trying to achieve. I was going for maximum safety at WOT. Its ok both ways. Oh btw if you guys are planning on getting a throttle body spacer, Get the one i have. Its the Helix Power. It makes the car sound like it has a turbo and its spooling up at low speeds/throttle. Sounds kinda cool. :bday:

i plan on spraying in the injen, not risking tapping the supercharger. Especially with the rarity of these sc's, there's no way im risking the integrity of the blower.

props on your install sarki, it looks clean. i'm just not going to risk tapping the charger.
