INJEN doesn't have a heat shield unless you turn it into a CAI.
To tune it you will need a Apexi SAFC.

Here's a picture of a INJEN intake:

^^
The INJEN is where the blue intake ends usually.
The silver pipin' the extends to the fender is his CAI.
[He's a member on SG.com, can't remember his screen-name on here....]

IMO go wit a CP-e intake.

CP-e intake:

I like my CP-e intake better, though.
Just a big fat intake to take up that space, plus it comes wit a heat shield.
But minus the blue air filter.

Switch it up wit this K&N air filter:

There difference:

I agree.
Just save up for the CP-e.

I know. :D
Everytime someone wants to look at my car and they see that filter, their response is "damn..... that's a really big air filter!!".

I've had both intakes, and the quality of construction for the cp-e is far better than the injen. With that being said, I'm still not convinced either are worth the money.

^ yet youve had both? =P i'm pretty happy w/ my injen. it's a good soundmaker but it heats up a lot and i have a heatshield over the filter too. Time for a cai build..

^The cp-e tube is thicker. You can dimple the injen tube by tightening the coupler clamps too hard. The cp-e also comes with a welded heat shield/bracket to mount the intake to the engine bay. I hate how the injen just hangs like an off-the-shelf honda intake. I wouldn't even have one if my UPFD extension didn't have a bolt down.

thicker means it retains heat longer, also weighs more, in turn slows you down, extra weight, lighter is better for going fast, also theres nothing wrong with it hanging, thats 5 more hp, lol..................... :drinking:

With as loyal as we are to these intakes, you'd think we we're getting paid by the companies to sell them.
