Color housed headlights

I was considering painting my headlight housing and corners black soon. Instead of black what do you think of painting the housings to match the color of the car. Im assuming it would kinda look like the new corvettes where their housing matches their paint job. Black, or silver to match my car?

I've been wanting to color-match my headlight for a while now, but the problem is getting the corners painted. Getting them apart is a PITA and not worth the hassle IMO.

Also, even if you do paint your headlights the color of your car they won't look like the corvettes unless you convert to a projector setup.

IMO the lights are already kind of silver, so i dont think it would look much different.

If your car is silver, I don't see what's the goal. If your car is black, paint it the same black color with flakes, if your car is white, don't do it. I saw many people doing that on cars, and 99% looks bad, my friend BMW looks great, black with angel eyes.

I say the black lights, its a much better offset to the main color IMO.
