Well guys,

Its taken me a while but Im almost done. Just figured I post up some shot taken about 5 mins ago after some sanding. I still have a couple of blemishes to take care of but its almost ready for cloning. The plan is to have a made mold of her using abs plastic from my buds at Kaminari.

Thanks for all your patience...

Anyways...pics (my digicam batt's were dead so photos are courtesy of mt T-Mob wing)

Well, I am trying to salvage as much of the original plastic shell. If I make it any thinner, Id be cutting into the original plastic upper bar. Ill see what I can do but I don't think it'll happen. Ill take another look at it tomorrow.

Just for reference though, this grill is the same as Richards grill (i20solara02i) and I think it looks perfect on his car!

Oh good stuff! I thought 1.5 market was dead as far as the grill went...I was about to just remove mine and replace it with black mesh lol...but this works better.

lol, I havent had a grill on my solara since I sold my other one to Rich. Its been about 5 months since my lara has seen a grill. Not much longer though! I'll snap some pictures of the prototype on my solara to show fitment.

With a wife and 2 kids, development is slow but its coming. Ill work with kami to have a honeycomb stainless insert as an option as well..or you can use gutter guard mesh.

If you can make the top bar half the size that would be great

I test fitted the grill a few minutes ago to have a shot of my grill as its current design and Marks grill right above me. There are still a few burs I need to sand to get a clean fit on the left side but it fits pretty snug.

Anyways, anyone interested in the gen1.5 grill, let me know if you prefer the smaller top bar in marks picture or larger top bar as in these pictures...

Xavier: That's understandeable, if I had two kids it would be a nonexistent project so props to you haha.

The sides look thinner to me on Krawzyazn's, the top looks similar, It's hard to tell from the pictures though. Either way it looks good to me.

Yes, its a minimal difference it seems. But the grill will be basically a replica of the on seen on Richards car in the photo above... Beautiful in my opinion...

looks GREAT to me Kevin! Props for being one of the few to get these things done for us! If it comes out sexy I might have to consider a 1.5 front end swap, haha. Props!
