Spacers - Tire Combo

I just bought a set of 17" Lexus OZ Superturismo rims. I have no idea of the offset on these... I've seen around the net that they are 17x8 +50 offset.

Anyhow, I plan on getting 225/50R17 tires, and I know I will be needing a spacer for these. I've got Intrax springs on there now, and I'm wondering the best setup to go with? I would like the wheels nice and flush with the fenders. I'm thinking 10mm in front and maybe 10mm in back. If I compare with the guys they are rolling 40mm offset rims without spacers...

Why does everyone seem to run on 225/45?, isn't 225/50 the best size?

I've read the wheels tires stickys, but no advise was found as to what to install on our cars. Any feedback?

i think 50 series will keep the speedo the most accurate.

For being flush with the fenders, if the wheels are indeed +50 offset, Id do a 10mm up front and a 15 mm in the rear... Im not sure I would want to run 4 spacers that large though personally.
