Pillow ball mounts are used to help increase steering feel, I believe.

Recharges typically depend on how much you abuse them, but you can realistically expect to go at least 20K miles before you start realizing they may need to be redone.

Pros: better handling that's superior to any aftermarket spring/struts available for the Solara

Cons: expensive

Teins are built to run with stock pillow strut mounts. Im using KYB's on mine.

rebuilds.... NYC has proven to be very demanding of them, so if 20k is a regular interval.... NYC demands atleast every 15k (Potholes like a muthaf**ka!).

You may also consider the fact that the stock tein springs used in the regula setup are a little soft, thats for ride comfort, you can order them stiffer, and also get them rebuilt/revalved for the spring rates.

cons: expensive, cant really corner weight like you can with Ksport, or JIC coilovers.

In all honesty, they are a very nice setup for the solara, based on my experience with them, they stand behind their product, and they can handle abuse.

A few things to consider, look into getting a lightweight battery, I have an optima yellow top that weighs like 40+ lbs.... after a while, I came to findout that it causes unnecessary fatigue on the driver's side font, even after a level 2 upgrade on springs. And, if you plan on rebuilding them, keep a spare suspension setup around, the turntime can be weeks, based on their workload.

Im most than likely getting the less expensive Ksport setup, and rebuilding the Teins later. But Im going to first change out the heavy yellow top for a Braille battery: http://www.brailleauto.com/productcart/ ... dproduct=6

This should help with better weight distribution, and less weight= more power/better fuel efficiency.

my 2 pennies. ;)
