Postby NRDriver » Sun Dec 03, 2006 7:25 pm

so right now i have the TSW revo's with 225/45 tires on them. i have a chance to get a killer deal on some gen 2 wheels with no tires. so my question is.... Will the tires from the revo's work on the gen 2 wheels??

also does have pics of a silver gen 1 with gen 2 wheels?

The tires should work fine.

Yeah i think the Gen 2 rims stock width for tires is 225/55/17??
Not sure.
But if you go to Tire Rack, you can look it up.
The tires from the Revo's should fit teh Gen 2 rims.

Tires should fit since the Gen2 wheels are 17x7. I have the stock Gen2's on my Gen 1, with the tires they came with (215/50 or 55 - can't remember) so I have to run spacers in the back. The overall diameter is going to be larger than what you plan on running. You'll probably need to run spacers as well since the offset for the Gen2's is +50.

Hey "SpikedMantis" i think that you should go wit a lower profile of tires, but not too low where they're rubber bands.

Hey, I might consider letting my Gen 2's go when I mount the OZ's next week... is that something you guys are lookin' for?

Mine have some miles on them, but I think they are in pretty good shape. This pic is from about a week ago, at 55k miles.

BTW, Spike, that looks great! :)

PS... I know, I know... I look like a 4x4! I'm droppin' next week with the rims...

No way - my previous 17s had 225/45/17, and my car was really low. Even with my stock 16s, the streets in LA will eat up my body kit. I'm happier with the bigger tires since I can actually park at parking stones now.

I actually considered those, but I got a great deal on the Gen2 wheels & tires. I like the 6 spoke look of the 16 stockies, but 16s are just too small.
