There are always risks involved. But he looks like a pretty good legit seller based on his stats. On top of that, ebay granted him power seller (not that this should be any sort of validation). If i needed a rebuilt engine and this is what I was looking for, then I'd totally go for it.

Remember, you pay money and let go of your old engine. I don't think that's really worth your engine + $1000+.

yea, it is a clean motor. Exactly what a 5sfe looks like when it's took apart. He'll prolly send something different like you said, and prolly wont ask for a refund. But he said it's basically a rebuilt motor with toyota's factory specs. That sucks.... :(

Read what other buyers say about him. I read up couple engine sells and it seems to me that the buyers were all happy and content with what the seller sold them.

Have you thought of rebuilding your own engine at some shop. How much would it cost you? Other sg.guys know?

never thought about rebuilding at a local shop. Around here theirs once place that doesnt even do motors. They specialize in high performance imports(supras ,rx-7, rb swaps stuff like that. I have tools to take out the motor and all but dont know how to rebuild one..
