i have amber color in there at the moment.

green and blue are def illegal.

not sure about red, depending on what color the car is. you're more likely to get caught by having super white in the front or no front license plate (in ca)

ANything but white is illegal, but I had red and never got any crap about it, however I took out the bulbs last nite (194s) and there must be somethin up with the wattage cuz the red was actually like burnt off.

haha, although I'm famous for painting bulbs (ive since retired hahaha), those bulbs were actually colored bulbs taht I bought, and the other ones I used didnt fade, so I think it had to do with the location I put them in, being the license plate

Well, it's very common for the literal meaning of the law to be very different from the spirit of the law. Thus, whether or not you get pulled over could depend on whether or not the police officer is anal-retentive. I know red, white, and amber are usually the only lights allowed on the back of a car. If you stray from those colors, you're bound to attract attention to yourself. Personally, I'd go with red.

I've got red since October and I'm fine so far. I like the red b\c if you lok at the car from the back at night, everything is red so it matched up nicely.
