Okay so i couldn't find a straight answer for this. I have Gen 1. I see that they make 2 kinds of Kits for the H4 fitment. A. Just the low beam, and B. Hi/Low Beam. I don't care about Highbeams as I'm running stock headlights w/ JDM Luminics 2500K Fogs (Halogens) and can see clearly. So my question is, when i install my HID's (Low Beam only Kit) what will happen to my brights? If i were to try to turn on highbeams, would it blow out my HID's or will the Highbeams simply not work? Looking for a details response plz =) thank you!!!

the high beam runs on a seperate line (However on the same connector). so when you try to use them, your lows will just turn off for that moment.

So, the connector has 3 wires; one is the ground/negative, one is for low beam, one is for high beam.

Okay, so i don't have to worry about blowing out the bulbs or anything if i accidently turn the high beams on? I can simply install the HID Kit, disconnect the DRL line, and call it good? Everything will work properly?

Okay, so on my GEN1, when i install the kit, and disconnect DRL's... They will run on normal beam, and if i switch to high beam, they will just shut off completely? Is this correct?

^^

Yes. Don't worry, I have single beam HID's (low beams only) and they are fine. You just won't have high beams and if you accidentally pushed the high beams, nothing bad will happen.

I have both highs and lows.

When i hit my high beams my fog lights turn off and the bulb points up.

Alright, got em installed today. Had to remove the battery for the driver side, but other then that, install was a breeze. Ballast/igniter tucks away nicely on either side. Had to do some slight Headlight beam direction adjustments but that was cake. DDMTUNING FTW! 6000K Low Beam 35w kit for $39.99 (New price drop as of today) Friend has had the same kit as me for nearly 2 yrs now with no problems, and mine look great. Ignite smoothly, and are up and bright within 30 seconds. Here are a couple pics i could take in between rain showers tonight. Hope you like!

Color is a crystal white with the SLIGHTEST hint of blue! Perfect compromise between color output, and brightness. and as for the highbeam question i had, when the high beam is turned on, the headlights just shut off.
