Quick question: I was on the Tokico site App chart and for Solara it says Solara (MCV20) 99-03...(HP Series)

Is the MCV20 a chassis code or what? I have the I4 5S-FE and want to know if these struts will fit. Thanks :)

Yes, I believe that is the chassis code or platform number. Im not sure if the same Tokico struts will fit both models though. The code for the V6 1MZ-FE platform is MCV20, but I think the code for the I4 5S-FE is SXV20. But it looks like the struts could fit all sub models from 99-03. I think the difference would just be in the springs. Lil confusing though. Hope that helps a lil. lol...

Just make sure you get the Tokico's for the 4 cylinder and not the 6 cylinder.

Yeah, Im pretty sure the springs are gonna be a lil different between the 4 and 6 cylinder because of the different ride heights and spring rates due to the weight factor.

If you put 4 cylinder springs on the front of a V6, it will sit a little bit lower. Otherwise, I really don't think it will make much difference. I can't see tokicos and lowering springs riding very rough...

Alright thanks for the advice. Perhaps the guy just didnt understand i was putting Tokico's to GO WITH the Eibach springs as opposed to stuck struts....

Also, went to a few shops around here to see if I could get them to order the parts for me (im still wary of ebay) and the prices i got quoted seemed ridiculous... like $400+ for the springs, wtf lol.

($CDN dollars mind you)
