wide wheels with good offset

8.5" +45 offset will NOT fit in the back. You are going to rub on the strut.

In the back with 8.5" you want to stick to +32 to +28 offset to not rub on the strut and the fender without a pull. +25 offset will be ok also but you might get some light rubbing on the fenders.

What kind of wheel are you looking at??
Why not try and ask them to see if they have those offsets.

Spacers are ok, but IMO if you are buying new wheels might as well buy them with the right offset. Unless they don't offer it in those offsets or if its a set of wheels that you really want and that's all they have I guess would be a exception.

38+ is ideal for a 9" wide wheel in the rear.. u will sit a credit card space away from the strut... that means no camber or anything of the sort.. this is confirmed on my camry and a solara u will need to roll your rear fender and add pressure for a very very very mild fender pull...

What size tire are you running with the 9" wide wheel? Also are you talking about 18" diameter?
Trust me, I'm a technician.

this is 8 wide with 215's... fender roll is necessary, I'm getting a camber kit cuz I like the stance.... but it's possible to make it flush flush... 40 offset.

i cant say for sure, because i dont own a solara, but if the suspension is anything similar to camry or es300 then:
9" wide will require correct offset, camber, and roll/trim fender lining.

X2. Don't forget, it you're using spacers you may have to buy longer studs so that the lug nut could be held in place securely. Otherwise you risk the the wheel coming off if its only being held on by a few screw threads. A wheel that fits is always the best option. Good luck in your search for new shoes.
