Everything mounted perfectly I take her on the road and I hear something hitting the strut mounts. I look at the mounts and the 19mm bolt that holds the shock hat is going up and down therefore making that knocking sound. This is only happening in the rear struts and it happens when the strut compresses. I was reading around and noticed someone put a spacer under the shock hat bolt...(i didn't do this step) could this be it?. I put new sway bar links and strut mounts btw. I can't figure out whats causing this to happen. I would really appreciate any help.

the shocks need to be seated on the top mount. u gotta spin the top of the shock (shiny part) until it sits completely so you can screw it tight.

As for the shock hat spacer bolt. You might wanna check your parts to see if you missed it while reinstalling.

Before I installed them I fully compressed the spring, put the strut mount on top then I tightend the 19mm bolt all the way. I transfered everything over. Including the bump stops,(which I did trim) is there a additional spacer I have to put under the bolt that holds down the strut assembly so the piston won't hit the car from underneath?
