my UPFD CAE fits like crap...
1. The bracket doesn't line up with the hole from where the stock intake was. I would have had to cut off half an inch on the CAE to get it to line up.
2. Didn't meet up with the end of the Injen's angle.
3. Had to shave down the fuse box to make more room.
4. Couldn't reattach the fuse box (though I probably could get the screws to line up if I applied more force)
5. Had to cut and bend a lot of metal in the car for the elbow of the CAE to clear to be able to turn the CAE at the right angle to meet up with the Injen and to be able to fit the filter on as well.
All in all I'm wondering if it's because I had an early UPFD model and others had to go through the same thing, or if I'm just stupid. The darn thing would not fit!
I love it though the other day my ScanGauge2 read an average 33.4 MPG highway. THAT'S a first. Plus it was 90 degrees out side! I take that 50 mile trip all the time and I used to barely reach 32 MPG average.
