has anyone wired an apexi safc and cpe intake control box together? both pieces want the maf wire cut at the computer. wondering how to go about it.

you can always try wiring them up in serial so that the safc gets the final output to the maf from the ecu

MAF --> CPE --> SAFC --> ECU

that way, when the SAFC settings are at 0, the ecu will basically be running off the CPE settings

If you wire both, you may have problems overriding the cpe's base map in some instances. It would be optimal to just mimic the cpe map with the safc, but its tough to figure out those settings.

^ it shouldn't make a difference unless the CPE adjusts its tuning accordingly with live wideband or 02 readings readings

otherwise, it's still just a set output through the MAF signal, which can still be further modified by the SAFC before it reaches the ECU

now, depending on how the CPE makes its adjustments- which I presume is still percentage based instead of hard-coded voltage maps, the safc percentages on top of it could end up giving the ECU some extreme numbers....

but it should be fine, assuming you tune it on a dyno with a wideband and don't just try to lean things out further or richen things up for the hell of it
