downgrading from coilovers to springs/struts

My JIC coilovers (and 19" rims) are shot and I have decided to go back to springs/shocks setup. Does anyone have experience with Megan Racing lowering springs? They seem to have the lowest drop for the Solara application. I am thinking about pairing it with Tokico struts along with 18" rims (235/40/18 tires). Any thoughts?

Thanks guys!

Also, where do I get upper strut mounts?

Megan Racing
Color: Orange
Lower rate: 2" Front, 1.7.5-2" Rear
Springs rate: 300F & 250R
MSRP: $149

i think i've heard of them sagging more in the rear, im not too sure though. stiffer then most, but sag in the rear? JIC won't rebuild ur coilovers? maybe that'll be cheaper

Tenzo GF-2s have a similar drop. 2" all around. Fit Camrys/Solaras 97-01. I have a set for sale plus a set of TEIN rear springs, pm if interested.

I thought about rebuilding the coilovers. The dampers are replaceable for the FAS model but mine makes weird clunking noises. It could be the bad dampers or bad upper mounts but I've lost interest to investigate (lazy). I just want a cheap way to remedy this. A spring/strut setup is cheaper than getting it rebuilt.

Are your/Steve's C5s dunzo?

Also, for 18x8, I'd do 225/40 or 225/45. 235s, would likely rub quite frequently.

Yeah, it's Steve's old 19" C5 3-piece. I bent 2 rims in one day running over one huge hole on the freeway.

I got the tire 235/40/18 already mounted and they seem to be fine with my blown coilovers. Some slight rubbing in front when driving over bumps/dips though.
