Engine Misfiring Changed plugs, swapped coils & wires
I got P0303 and figured I'd have a mechanic do it, till I found out they wanted $400 to change plugs & wires. I went home and changed the plugs. They were in fairly poor shape.. Still got P0303
Next I swapped the coil packs to see if the cylinder misfire would jump to another cylinder, but it didn't, so I assume coil packs are good
Next I swapped the plug wires, but that didn't change the misfire to another cylinder either, so I assume those are also OK
I'm guessing maybe I have a slightly clogged fuel injector? The car doesn't really run bad, it just a little rough. I don't think it's a fuel delivery problem because it rides fine on the highway when fuel demand is high.
Does the #3 injector seem like the likely culprit? How much does it typically cost to have them cleaned, or do they replace the clogged one? I'm guessing this is going to get expensive. Are there any chain stores that do a good job with this?
Is there anything else it might be?
Thanks for any help
Ron
