Synthetic vs Synthetic Blend... Help Plz

Alright... not sure if this is general or aftermarket question... considering our car doesn't come stock w/ synthetic oil, i figured i'd post it here. Anyway, I think imma go synthetic... Just have a couple questions... I was looking at 2 different oils. One is Full Synthetic 0W-50 and one is Synthetic Blend 5W-30. Now i know that this is viscosity ratings and temp ranges... And our car stock calls for either a 5W or 10W -30 Motor Oil, but i've been told to go synthetic to improve overall engine performance, cleanliness, longevity, and Fuel Economy. I was looking at these two oils, and was told the 0W-50 would be good for our lara's because as many of you have noticed, they run nice and hot. Just wonder if this is benifitial or what. here are the oils.

Fully Synthetic 0W-50

Synthetic Blend 5W-30

Dunno if any of you know this oil, but i know one thing for sure. Im going w/ this brand. Just not sure what oil type. I know that Nippon Oil is easily the number 1 selling oil in Japan. Your thoughts and input is greatly appreciated.

0 weight

....lol

I'm a fan of mobile 1 or more recently royal purple since i can get it so cheap on base. But i would recommend 5 or 10 w-30 depending on where you live

lol the W is not for the word Weight, it's for the word Winter. the W stands for Winter. Lower number before the W determines how well the oil will perform under colder temperatures....

I wouldn't go wit 0W-50, that's way to thick for the 1MZFE.
Just stick wit 5W-30 for the winter, and 10W-30 for the summer.

5w-30 mobile 1 'synthetic' year round in san antonio, tx (temps from 30*F in winter to 110*F summers)

btw, IIRC, some members have commented on the royal purple having oil breakdown issues.

and while this is probably not a problem if you religiously change your oil every 2k-3k miles, it will get expensive, as the RP is a much more expensive (fully) synthetic oil.

Ow-50 is too heavy....stick with 5w30 or 10w30 depending on climate.

that reminds me...i need to change my oil soon.

Ya I've made my decision... Gonna go w/ Mobil Full Synthetic 5W-30... Either a nice KnN or Mobil High Performance Filter... And Mobil Full Synthetic ATF as well. Only the best for Lara, right guys?!
