Headlight and Fog Light Bulbs

I want to purchase new bulbs for my headlights and fog lights but don't want to go HID(putting my money into suspension right now). Anyway, I tried looking for some and there are so many different choices between h1, h2, h4, etc. Which ones should I get?? If it helps I also want purple for the headlights and yellow for the fogs. Thanks for your help!

Side blurp: After I get the suspension installed I'm going with either the Kaminari lip kit or the Solara VIP body kit. Any comments on any of those two kits. I always see the Kaminari kit but I've never seen the VIP kit anywhere.

1: Purple headlights are retarded, period. You can't argue that, and light output sucks. yYou want a white to very light blue tinge.

2: h1, h2, h4, are different bulbs. You can't put in a different bulb then stock unless you want to change wires and headlight sockets.

^what he said. Also, just go with kaminari, it will cost more to get the vip body kit to fit. TRUST ME, they Never come ready-to-install, the bumpers will have to be trimmed and painted, and because there isnt really much of a grill on the front bumper, this kit will probably affect your engines cooling system. plus its made of fiberglass, so it will crack after about a year due to temperature changes and stress.

If you want purple get purple. You know what you want and only you. ASG has a point with the output and such but get what you want and dont let other people tell you how it should be. I thought a member named ASTRO has the vip kit. If not him someone has it. It looks really good but it took a lot of fabrication and money to get it like that. The kaminari kit has great looks and pretty much garenteed to fit. Do what you think youll like best. If you dont like what you do then you will end up changing it.

yeah those are bulb sizes. I believe the gen1 is h4? gen2 is h11.. yadda yadda. not much of a choice for you there. You can get cheap HIDs too (at around 12000k they'll be purple), but if all you want is a different color bulb, i guess you can do that too.

Thanks for all the advice! I'm going to purchase some H4 bulbs and then pick up the Kaminari lip kit! I'll post pics once those two things are done. Then I'm off to buy Tein Springs and Tokico blues

Be very very weary around cops
basically anything not white in the front will get you pulled over. I went with 8000k foglights on my solara and they got me pulled over CONSTANTLY. I can only imagine how bad it would be with 12000k

Purple headlights are garbage. Especially when you're talking about a non-HID purple. It'll attract a lot of attention from a distance, but you'll be constantly checking your headlights to see if they're on.

I'm all for the yellow fogs though
