custom exhuast and intake

hi I was wondering. I wanted to start a project this summer and start working on the solara again. So I was thinking of two things making an exhuast and an intake.

I was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a kit for both or just make one for myself. For the intake I think I will just go with getting an injen intake, but I am not sure about the exhaust. I wanna prep the car for adding a supercharger so Im not that sure what to do about the exhaust.

also sum1 kept telling me that exhaust tip adds power thats not true rite.

i suppose an exhaust tip could add power.... if it were coated in carebear magic. Actually, i suppose it could if it were larger than the old exhaust tip (less restriction going out). But that also depends on the muffler out and stuff like that.

it's usually cheaper to do a custom exhaust, i think.
