Just wondering if gen 1's I4 and V6 oem muffler are the same ??

OE part numbers are different. The internal structure is different for tuning. The physical fit is the same. Putting a V6 muffler on a V-4 (LOL) will not yield any gains.

Aftermarket mufflers will fit both.

Aftermarket mufflers will fit both.

And that should give you some idea of how carefully they're designed...
