So I have been looking around and there are things like the yellow pills and the custom tints, but I have found things that are much cheaper. I have seen the vinyls and I think they would be a really good bet, but I wonder how this would be.

There is Yellow, smoked, and other colors.

What do you think? Would it just be really bad quality? I think if you wanted lighter or darker just regulate by how many coats you add. What do you think about it?

I didn't remove those filters (or whatever they are) so I didn't need to seal them back. I have had to re-attach the rubber fittings that go around those filters and I did that with RTV silicone. That stuff seems to hold up to anything.

There is a metal fitting that screws around the bulb within the fog light. I left mine in, but I may go back and take it out b/c I think it would be brighter without it.

Here's another photo I found.

my cars tails are diff now, well same, but different haha..
anyways I did one coat of clear film on the taillight, then cut a strip to the size/match of the turn signal area (yellow), placed it on there, then put a whole sheet of black tint over the entire housing just like I did first time with the clear.

I did this overlaying process cuz vinyl WILL shift on plastic surfaces since of the heat it expands and moves around a lot.. well not a lot but it will move so I overlapped it and put adhesive promotor on the final tint (The black one) and used a hair dryer to seal it all in place. now after 1/2 a year of it bein in the hot summer sun and it being parked outside 24/7.. it's still held up. and in the frigid winter this year, it's still perfect.

if anyone wants their tails done in the chicago area, let me know. I can help you guys out.
Or their foglights too..
