you might be able to get away with not getting an alignment, but i'd rather be safe than sorry. even if its a little bit off your tire will not wear evenly.

I would let the springs settle first, and then get an alignment, a week worth of the alignment off by alittle wouldn't hurt your car.

As for harshness of the ride on coilovers, that's not all true, you can adjust the damper settin' to have a softer ride so the ride isn't harsh, but when you have the settin' on hard, then the harshness of the ride will be felt.

Toyota's have a small amount of camber adjustment. It's the act of removing the struts that will mess with the alignment more than anything. The adjustment is done with the strut to knuckle bolts. If you push the camber as positive as you can when installing the bolts, you'll probably be pretty close. However, camber affects toe, so if you change the camber any, you might throw your toe out. I would get the camber as close as you can to O-deg and then after a week or so, to allow for settling, get a shop to align it. You may need a cam-bolt, but most of us have not needed it.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

so what better? coil overs or lowering springs? and which is cheaper? :)

coilovers will give you a lower drop if you want to, but at 2-3 times the price (springs+struts vs coilovers) if you havent noticed they have both struts and springs in one package...

rollaevo99 - you probally sag cause you have stock struts. when i had my stock struts and lowered springs i was lower then when i added some tokico struts.

thats so true.
