ELMHURST SHOW WEEKEND DETAILS
(Contact list pm'd to those who said they will attend.)
Attached above is the updated contact list. I'm sorry that the event organization is so late. I am working on it. Of course I wanted to wait and see what the weather is going to be like. (This determines everything.)
Friday: Scattered showers 50%. In the summer, the odds are more with us on not having rain. It will be cloudy though. Again, I am depending on the weather man for this.
Since there are very few coming in on Friday, we can be very flexible. I know some of you are coming from far away, so you probably don't want to venture far. (Mike C, do you think you can come down to meet and then I can follow you back?)
The Oakbrook Mall is centrally located to everyone's hotels. The McDonald's corporate HQ is next door so they have a very nice restaurant there which often has a local car show going on every Friday night. (Weather permitting.) The restaurant has wifi, two floors and flat panel TVs everywhere.
Location: McDonald's at Oakbrook Mall (not the one in the mall) The building is on 22nd street and spring road. (Southeast corner of the mall)
Time: 7pm. Central Time (8pm Eastern)
We will meet up and discuss what folks would like for dinner. (Not at the McDonald's.) There are many places close by for a range of budgets. We can see what we want.
Please PM or call me to let me know you are coming. (Or show up as early as possible.) Call me if you're running late or need directions.

Saturday: The morning is supposed to be beautiful. However rain will hit in the afternoon. So detailing your car on Saturday may not be the best option. Sure, clean it up but save the detailing for Sunday morning.
Meeting location again at Oakbrook Mall in the Nordstrom parking garage. See above map. We will take group photos and caravan from there.
Rain may come again in the afternoon so I have an indoor activity planned. A run to the Volo Auto Museum. Admission is $9 per person but well worth it. Many of the movie star cars are there along with a large collection of military and other collector vehicles. I plan to be at the Museum by 1:00pm to 1:30. It closes at 5pm or we leave when we want.
For those who need to catch up to us: Meet us there. Call me when you're close. (See website and map below for where we are going)

Saturday Evening: I'd like to take the group into Downtown Chicago for real pizza. I'll post up details later today and hand out information on Saturday. If the weather is good, we can cruise up Lake Shore Drive and pick a spot for photos.
For those who'd like to stay out late and enjoy Chicago, we can park the cars and take in the night life. Blues Bars are all around as well as nice clubs. Drinking is never pushed since we are driving. So please do so at your own risk. If we have several folks under 21 then we can adjust our plans and go to Hard Rock Cafe where minors can be there too. So no worrys guys!
Sunday Morning, we will meet at the Parking Lot behind Hooters in Woodfield. I will plan to be there around 7:30am. Look for my red 350Z convertible.
THIS is the time to detail the cars. Since I am not showing, I will assist with your cars as you wish. I will bring a bag of very good detailing materials and towels. I ask that you wash the car first before you get o the parking lot.
We depart as a caravan to Elmhurst at 9:30 - 9:40am.
If you miss us, that's OK. We'll see you at the Show.
Thanks for coming. I look forward to meeting you all. Please let me know if you have any special requests. I'll do my best.
