Mid-West Meet. Take 2!!

The first midwest meet went pretty good for considering the short notice and the location (Midwest!)

now i was looking at the frappr SG Member map, and start thinking that Indianapolis might be able to gather more people including people from chicago area.

I didn't see anyone in particular from indianapolis itself, but seems like we are kind of surrounding the city from 2 to 3 hours radius.

so... how do you think about the next meet in indianapolis, sometime before the Elmhust show ( http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=24346 ), on 08/13.

problem is that i don't know if anyone knows about the city well enough to find the place for the meet.

I've heard about the Indy 500 museum,

and.. do you think it will be a good idea to ask on TN or any other forums about this meet as Toyota meet?

since SG population is not big around here, so maybe we can have better meet if we have more people? how do you think?

I know nothing about Indianapolis. Unless we find someone close to or living in Indianapolis coming up with a place to meet and it running smoothly will be hard to do. I dont know right now whether or not i'd show at a meet that far away just before Elmhurst and right around the time of my wedding. I plan on being at Elmhurst though. If the meet is close like it was before or maybe even an hr. to hr. and a half away i'd might be able to make it. We can make this a Toyota meet again. Come up with a date and a place and with more of notice than it was last time to the other forums i am on around here i'm sure we'd bring in more ppl. than last time.

I will be in Indianapolis on July 1st , 2nd and departing on the 3rd. Formula One races are great meets! :wink:

IMS will be hosting the US Grand Prix Formula One race and I plan to be there cheering them on. If anyone will be looking for me, there will be only one nut case fan with a Panasonic Toyota Pit Crew Shirt waving a large TOYOTA flag. That's me.

I have a couple tickets available for sale if anyone is interested. I have a block of eight seats together. Just PM me.

I may be interested, but if you have this wait till Aug. there is Tuner/Truck Bash in indy, which was a pretty fun show! Last time it was at the drag strip and admitting your vehicle into the show got you at least 5 or more runs I believe! I remember seeing a TT Supra making just a few passes... This would also make it worth some other solaraguy members farther out to make a trip. The show goes the whole weekend and there was a big party life at night. The hotel parking lots get watered down :evil:

LoL I skipped last year, but I was there in 04 as well! Everyyear we go we end up getting in trouble. The first year my buddy blew his engine. Then in 04 I got a ticket that I never had to pay for underage drinking in public. Then I skipped last year and my roomate got in trouble for dragging. Im planning on going this year so we will what happens to us this year. I wont be getting any underages this time cause ill be 22 then! But if your going let me know!

As far as another meet, my weekends are starting to free up for now so let me know when its possible for you guys and Im game!

btw, I will go to the Formula 1 race in indianapolis on July 1, 2 with PhreakdOut. does anyone would like to have some mini meet on one of those 2 days?
