SuperStreet Tour (3 legs) to NOPI Nationals (Sept) 56K Warn!
Why do we sign on just about everyday to chat about Solaras yet not do enough to get together and meet our fellow Solara brothers and sisters. Here's a prime opportunity to piggyback on an existing event!!
I know what you're thinking ...
-- I don't have enough vacation time.
(Cancel the family reunion or beach trip you were planning!)
-- I'm not sure what I'll be doing in September.
(Schedule things aroud this)
-- It might cost some money.
(Get some overtime in. Sell your extra parts or girlfriend on SolaraGuy. You can always get another one.)
-- My car is not worthy.
(Have you seen some of the Hondas at these events? Reference the camera contest we had last month. I don't think rock chips are anything to be ashamed of, they're battle scars.
)
-- I might miss an exciting evening sitting home alone watching reruns of "The Golden Girls." (Seek professional help immediately)
-- I need to stick around and help out with the newborn. (OK Mike, I'll accept that excuse.
) But when's she's old enough for a Recaro booster seat, you'd better be showin' up. LOL
Pull yourself together and take charge of things! There's a month and a half to prepare, save money, accrue vacation time, finish those lingering "half-done" mods, make excuses (or alibis) to the wife / girlfriend and most importantly, make the commitment to yourself to do something memorable. We've only got one lap on this track of life... so get out of the pits! (Damn, that was deep for me.)

Here is the text from SuperStreet on the Tour:
This year promises to be bigger than all the years before. We have more goodies to give away and even have contests galore. Set your dates and ask for time off now because the Tour is from September 15-16, with pre-parties going on the night of September 14. Like always, the Tour has three legs that will caravan its way to Atlanta. The North Leg will be the largest, starting in the Baltimore area, while the West Leg starts in Forth Worth, Texas, and the South Leg kicks off in Miami.
If you register early, you’ll get VIP treatment. Not only will you get to sign the waivers earlier, but you’ll also get the door panel sticker before anyone else. E-mail tour@Primedia.com for more information. As far as magazine coverage, there will an editor on each leg. Nads and JDM Wong will hold up the North, Rikdaddy will lead the West, and Ro-Dogg will make sure the South represents. So smile for their cameras when you see them. Also, for the car crews out there, we’ll be covering the best and most represented car crew overall. You and your crew, if you all register together, will have a chance to be featured in an upcoming Crew Corner in Super Street.

I know many of you are on the tour route. You can join in at any point or make the trek to the beginning and follow it through so you can fully enjoy the good times.
I will probably make the trek to Maryland and start from there.
I'd like to get some feedback on the proposed SolaraGuy participation. We'd need someone active willing to volunteer to be the event leader for each leg. We can coordinate the meet up at NOPI so we can park close together.
(I encourage entering the show. What the heck? Why not? I've seen daily drivers at NOPI before. The point is to have us all together representing SolaraGuy.org.)
Post up your thoughts or comments. Anyone wanting to caravan from the Norther midwest to MD, you're welcome to tag along with me.
(Now I'm going to soak my tired fingers in some hot water. That's the longest post I've ever made.)
And please, for the love of all things holy, don't quote the whole posting in your response. (Newbie alert)
