Mid-West Meet. Take 2!!

Mid-Late Aug. is pretty good, we’ll be moving in late June / early July, so that’s going to be a pretty crazy month for me. I figure by Aug. we should be settled in and everything should be getting back to normal.

maybe I should have get some date, place set first, and then ask for people who are interested...

so.. let's start with Place.
I thought indianapolis would be a good place, but does anyone have other places in mind?

Let's start some list of place and do the vote by this weekend.

Idea #1: I dont know if any of you have heard of Eden Park. It's in Cincinnati. It has to be by far the best place to get together and take pictures. Lots of photographers use to the park. You're able to view the Ohio River and Ky. from four different overlooks. The park is full of stuff to do and they have an exhibit of over 50,000 daphodils. The Cincinnati Art Musuem is also located there. It's about an hour from Dayton.

Idea #2: If any of you are into canoeing i know of a good place to go canoeing on the Little Miami River. It's about 30-45 minutes south of Dayton. Also there are lots of parks, bike trails, hiking trails, etc.

Idea #3: As i mentioned before for the last meet, Newport on the Levee. It sits right on the Ohio River. Lots of shops and the Newport Aquarium which is a very neat place. Costs a little money to get into the Aquarium but it is worth it. Gameworks is also there. Lots of restaraunts and clubs as well. It's definitely a fun time.

That's all i've come up with right now besides the possibility of visiting the new Freedom Center in Cincinnati which is a pretty interactive place.

Eden park is sweet, they got some nice twisty roads I use to play on at night with my Camaro. Its right by my school too and Ive done many little photoshots there. Tons of people get married there too. Anyway to add to that we could go to Mt. Adams later on at night, but that may exclude anyone under 21.

Newport is fun plus we can hit up the hofebrahaus!

I really like the idea of Eden Park, i've been there several times, and that is a really nice place for photo shooting and nice to drive around on that winding road.

also, canoeing sounds fun. In fact, I will be away from anything technological for a week next week.
i will go down to Boundary Water Canoe Area (Minnesota) with over 60 high school students, and i will take 8 of them in my group for canoeing and camping.
(well, i'll talk about it another time.. so back to topic..)

Only thing is it will be a little far for those who are from west.

if we do canoeing, we can go to Houston Woods State Park and do some camping as well.

btw, because of the canoeing trip next week, I will be completely off line from 6/15 to 6/21.
so if there are any news about this meet, would someone organize it until i come back?
I probably will start the poll before i leave, so i would like to have someone who can propose some date, once the place decided.

I'm still interested but wouldn't be able to make a meet until August. Sucks no one has voted or showed anymore enthusiasm than this.
