are you planning to attend the show to watch? if so, consider this.. entry for 2 days = $40 and u get to park outside... if you register your car for the show, it's $70 for 2 days and you get 2 passes (registration must be before Sept 1st, then it goes to $80)... so if you bring a friend, that's $35 each and you get to park inside the speedway, rather than to leave it out there with no supervision. Last year i had no mods other than rims and lowered and got 1st place hehe (i was the only Solara in my category) so trust me, it doesnt really matter what you got, but how you present it!

Like Rene said, present well and enjoy the event !
I dont do it for the trophy, becuase its cheaper just to buy a trophy
I've place each time I've entered the Camry. Based upon that my car has always looked stock with 17's and lowered. I just added a lip spoiler last year. I have no monitors anywhere and I'm rocking the stock cloth seats baby! Yeah! Last year Rene won and he didnt even pop his hood. But his ride was clean and his paint was popping.
This year he better open wide  !

NOPI is huge ! It's best taken in over a 2 day period, especially if you live in the ATL. There is so much to see and do. You might as welll enter to get a kick azz parking spot !

Can you tell NOPI is my favorite car show/event ???

Unfortunately I'll only be there on Saturday. If you stop by my car and don't see me there, come back by a little later.

I registered Sat and Sun but something came up and I'll only be there Sat.

i might not register before the 1st but I would like to know how to go about entering with a group to help contribute to the number factor... also I know I would really have to get my car clean, even though it has some dents and scratches that need to be taken care of since this is my daily driver in atlanta...and I do mean dents

When you register, look for club SELOC, they are a local Atlanta club and they welcome pretty much everybody. You can check them out at www.seloc.net and since you are local, see if you can start coming out to our meets. Seriously, you dont have to have ur ride all hooked up and all... as long as you enjoy rides, u can check out the bad @ZZ rides they got there. When I 1st heard of them (through Will - Wiz2) I didnt want to hang out w/them because I thought since they are a Lexus club, they would look down on me or something, but on the contrary, they are a pretty cool bunch once u get to know them, and we have tons of funs at the driving events we attend (we have the Lexus drive event coming soon, u should sign up for that too.. it's free!!). About the dents... are you looking for a shop and re-paint ur car completely? if that is the case, i know a guy that does a great job on that, highly recommend him... hit me up and i'll let you know more.

I am extending the invitation for everyone else... coming from one of the moderators from www.seloc.net

http://www.seloc.net/modules.php?name=F ... pic&t=4532

I have heard thru the grapevine that there are a few people that are shying away from participating at NOPI Nats because they feel their cars are not "worthy".

I want to put a big stop to this right here and right now.

SELOC has never been about who's better than whom. It has always been about comradeship and being with friends that just happen to like cars as much or more than you do. It has never been about competition or who's better than who or anything of the sort. There will always be OG's, but that doesn't mean newer members have nothing to offer. Far from it. New blood is always welcomed because it keeps things interesting and moving.

SELOC has 2 really big events every year; Super SELOC Meet and NOPI. We have big plans for both events to make it more enjoyable for EVERYONE every year. NOPI basically marks the end of the "show" season. It is the one show where people from all over the COUNTRY come to compete and be seen at. SELOC made a huge splash last year taking home not only individual trophies galore, we also took home Best Team Display. TEAM display, not individual, but TEAM.

At NOPI its more about hanging out with friends that sometimes you only see once or twice a year and having fun. We talk cars of course, but we also have tons of laughs, our families join us, we cut jokes, make fun of ugly people walking by , etc. It's not just about who won a trophy and who didn't. It's about having a really fun time for 2 whole days. Competition is simply the icing on the cake, and FYI there are a bunch of categories with 1-3 place in each so there's plenty to go around. Make no mistake about it, we are always proud of our winners, but even if you don't win a trophy I can assure everyone attending will have a great time. Guaranteed.

So to make this perfectly clear to everyone:

The ONLY criteria anyone needs to have to join us at NOPI is being a member of the SELOC family. That's it.

P.S. Today is the last day to save $10 off your pre-registration to NOPI. Tomm, 9/1, the price goes up from $70 to $80.

Also FYI, we will have food and drinks for our members (for a fee of course, but a heck of a lot less than concession prices) the whole weekend. We will also have a reception party at the hotel too.

BTW, this was not meant as a bitching thread, simply a clarification because I didn't want anyone to feel intimidated or left out. We welcome everyone.
