There is always a variety of cars that go out ranging from civics, 240s, 350s, Corollas, supras etc etc etc. Hell, they were surprised that I was the first guy to circuit race a camry haha. Lemmie know if you are gonna be going out to it, I cant wait to ckec out how your beast is gonna run.
Haha I think I actually beat you to it... I was already running my car at Buttonwillow before it was even boosting way back last year. Just suspension and brake mods. Back then people were less accepting of 'different' cars. I showed up in my car, and my buddy showed up in his Echo (running custom tein coilovers, all the bolt ons, and RA1 tires)... People were whispering and pointing and you can tell that not all of it was good at the beginning of the day. By the end of the weekend it was a different story though.
Im working hard to get my motor broken in, but its hard to find the time to just drive around and put the miles on it. Im still working on getting my new suspension dialed in as well. Im working with a couple different companies trying to get a damn sponsorship (Tein, JIC, K Sport). Basically whichever one sponsors me or gives me the absolute best deal for the setup I want is going on the car.
Other than that, I think the car will be good to go. I wont be running the Rotora brakes yet, just the Supra ones I have on right now and the rear disc conversion.
Ahhh so much stuff left to do, so little time. If I dont make it out to this track day in the Camry, Ill definitely be at the Speed Trial USA event at Buttonwillow on August 6-7. Ill sell my soul to the devil if I have to... I just love that track and I want to be able to run it as many times as possible this year.
