NOPI Nationals - Atlanta, GA Sept 17/18

Postby that1mexguy » Thu Aug 18, 2005 8:12 am

Do we have any people from this forum attending the show????

Early Registration (prior to Sept 1st) is $70, after Sept 1st, $80

Even if you don't believe your car is worth showing, I recommend to register because that way you get to park inside and pay the same amt.

NOPI Nationals is a 2 day extravaganza event that no one should miss. It is held at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA on September 17-18th.

To register go to www.nopinationals.com

If there are any Solara guys going to the show, please let me or Wiz2 know so we can try to park all rides in the same area. We are registering under SELOC Car Club in the BLACK section. You are all welcome to do the same. Any questions just hit me up. See ya then!!!

Been thinking of coming down since the Super Street tour is coming right through Greensboro. How many cars (Solara's) do you have so far?

There was talk about some people caravaning with the tour. Anyone coming through?

Honestly i dont have a count... I know Wiz2 is coming (Camry) and he mentioned that some others (from this forum) may join him (JoeB/Shidosha?) but I'm not sure.... it'd be nice to have more than 1 freaking Solara (mine) this year... but then again, if ya'll dont come, i'll take home another trophy! LOL

LOL! I started a thread regarding the SuperStreet tour and NOPI nationals, but assumed there was no interest due to lack of responses.

I'm in if someone wants to coordinate meeting places and such. I must be jinxed in trying to rally the troops to a single event.

Guys its worth the trip !
Shidosha,JoeB anyone who would affiliatate themselves with a class act register now. Shidosha mentioned it in his thread and JoeB should head on down as well. A string of boosted Camry/Solaras in front of a string of boosted GS4's,GS3's,IS's and SC's. Jaws will drop :o . Toyota should be paying us !

Last year was better than the year before for SELOC! We have prime parking spaces for those trying to see or be seen(take a look at the map compared to others). Dont feel as though you will be overshadowed or anything like that by being in the Lexus area we are all family. NOPI made the Lexus area for SELOC due to our presentation and turnout in years past. You get noticed when you are positioned with like or better quality, not because everyone else is so far below you.

2004 Rene won Best Solara/Camry Conservative and I received 2nd Place Solara/Camry Mild. Eddie won. If you dont know who Eddie is please educate yourself at www.eddieandamanda.com .

SELOC won a couple club awards last year as well, I cant remember right now.

SELOC is a Lexus club based in Atlanta, but has members all over the southeast and beyond. Most members have a Lexus or two, but it is not a requirement! Several active members have never had a Lexus and dont even own an import ! Its all about coming together meeting people with who are car crazy :drinking:. If you have any questions that you are afraid to ask PM me.

That sounds really great! If I still lived in Atlanta you couldn't keep me away. It's a bit far for me and I'm not setup with a truck and trailer yet. I only drive the Solara on the highway when absolutely necessary because of rock chips. Hopefully I'll get the truck and car trailer setup some day. Down the road I'd like to take the racing and shows up a notch. -JoeB

Yo Rene, long time!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to this. We're a worker short, so it's a super skeleton crew untill we hire somebody. Even then, it'll take 2+ months to train 'em correctly.

Ya'll have a good time and good luck!!

Car Clubs at NOPI

Postby PhreakdOut » Mon Aug 29, 2005 9:09 pm

NOPI has a contest for car clubs with the most entries. Last time I checked, 37 cars is the number to beat. Check it out (below)

http://www.nopinationals.com/2005/part_clubs.cfm

$3600 Total Payout to CAR CLUBS, GROUPS or WEBSITES
There are two ways to win:
- First by having the most entries in the Car Show:

All must register under the same CLUB/GROUP/WEBSITE name. Entries will be counted and winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony. To register club, group or website name - email mark@nopi.com and ask to add your club, group or website name to the parking grid. Then when your members register on-line they will be prompted for the Car Club, Group or Website name. Once they choose the name it will open up parking in the same area as all others in the group. Keep in mind though that when a particular section is full, you will have to park wherever parking is available, also keep in mind that this show can sell out so register early.

- $1000 for most show entries
- $500 for Second most show entries
- $300 for Third most show show entries

- Second is "The Most" Awards. Be at the awards ceremony with your club, group or website and make the most noise and have the biggest sign or the best idea to get the most attention. Winners will be chosen on the spot. (No Fireworks Please)

- $1000 for most people and noise at the Awards ceremony
- $500 for Second most people and noise at the Awards ceremony
- $300 for Third most people and noise at the Awards ceremony

It's the Car Clubs and Car enthusiats that made NOPI what it is today. Time to get your share!
