Not at all. Many peeps run bone stock.

yea i would run bone stock and put mods on to see if they actually do improve results... put your results on the forum...i'll be in the silver 99 with trd kit... i might borrow my friends slicks.... hope my car runs fast.....gates open at 7am, racing starts at 9am.... i'm gonna be there early... setting up a canopy

Not at all. Many peeps run bone stock.

The key is consistancy and good reaction time. You're racing against yourself to improve on your last time.

Besides, if you ever plan to modify, you should run bone stock first just to have "some" idea of improvement made.


Couldn't have said it better myself. its all about improvement. i'm just trying to beat my previous times right now.

Well, since I'm not going to be spending an assload of $$ for a custom FI on my ride, I don't think my Q-mile times will change much over the course of time now...

And I highly doubt that new wheels/tires will do much for it either. I'm more about actual street performance and handling anyway... but it is still tempting, nonetheless. ;)
