I have my tickets on reserve for the 2006 Grand Prix in Indianapolis! Woo-hoo! It has been a tradition for me to attend with a bunch of friends and make a race party weekend of it. :drinking:

This is a great opportunity to get together with fellow SolaraGuy friends and meet up for the General Admission races on Saturday and cheer on the Panasonic Toyota team on race day Sunday!

I'm posting this up early so y'all will have time to get tix. If you're interested, they're still available. Order tickets through this link:

To help put you in the mood; here are some F1 sounds to stir the savage beast within you.

F1 with a V-10

Let me know if you're interested by February 1st and I will reserve a block of parking passes. (I have an account with IMS so I'd like to buy them in a block to assure we can all park together. Usually I get Lot 1) You can paypal me the parking costs when I place the order.

I'll post up details as we get closer to the date. (Such as preordering boxed lunches or coolers of beer.) For anyone wanting to fly in, I'd be glad to pick you up from the airport. IMS will run a free shuttle to the track as well. Just get those tix early.

Post up or PM me if you're interested.

No - I think it may be that not enough people can afford to go to Indy! ;)

OK, it turns out I have a couple of extra tickets. This is a great opportunity for a mini-SolaraGuy meet and race weekend.

=> I have three tickets available. Possibly four if my brother does not confirm soon. I will be there in the adjoining four seats in this row. The seats are in section C. (See map above) Not the best, but the sun isn't in your eyes through the race. We tend to have a great time so this will not be a boring event.

Here's the plan:

I will arrive on Saturday morning for the trial runs and Ferrari Challenge races. I have two park and camp passes for parking lot 1A. Tacti is coming as well and he has an additional park and camp spot reserved.

Each camp spot is 20' x 20' to hold your Solara and a tent. Between the three camping reservations, we'll have a 60' x 20' section for SolaraGuys. Since we'll be camping right across from the track, you can't find a better place to stay. Besides, local motels are running $250 - $500 for race weekend.

I plan to camp, cook some great food hang out with fellow SolaraHeads and cheer on the 8th Rank Toyota F1 Team and their frustrated Ralf Schumacher. There will be plenty of food and drink, just make the plans to attend by sending me a PM or posting up that you're interested in tickets.

There should be room for another tent. If you'd like to expand our area another 20 sqft, then check with http://www.USGPINDY.com and check on parking passes. Or follow this link to purchase park and camp passes for lot 1A. (2-Day tent camping) https://imstix.brickyard.com/inettix/OnlineTicketing.aspx

So send me a PM that you'd like to attend! Shine up the Solara and plan to be in the area of the track on Saturday, July 1st so we can all roll in together and get one big spot. This may be the last F1 race in the US if the contract is not renewed, so take advantage of this opportunity before it's gone for good.

I'm checking the date. As long as I can pitch a tent near my ride I'm happy. Speaking of happy... if it works out, which keg should I bring? Porter or Red IPA?

are there any plan of what time we are meeting and where?
I'm planning to come over really early so that we can get those 3 spots for the tent, next to each other.

I'm only couple hours away, so i can be there as early as 4:00, or even earlier if you want me to....
i talked to one of my friend, who've been to this event, and he said the lot getting really clouded very quick.
he said he wen there like 30 to 45 min before the gate opens, but there were not many choice of spot...

do you think it's possible if i get there early enough i can keep those spots not only for myself, but for other people as well?

i will be coming down from dayton driving I70 west bound.
if any one wants to meet somewhere on the way, i will be more than happy to do so.
give me a call if anyone needs my cell number.

I'll see you guys there, and i'm so excited!
