hey everyone... i'm a gen2 owner from tampa fl... myself and my family have been toyota buffs for years... this is my 3rd toyota in the 5yrs i've been driving. and as all of you know, theres nothing like a toyota. i had a 96camry and a 994runner. my familys been thru about 7 toyotas now (not that we killed them, but traded them all in). we had a 2003 jeep for about 7 months befor we said "to hell with this" and got a new 4runner.

the 2004 v6 was my dream car ever since toyota said they were going to remake the solara with a 3.3... i was the 4th person in tampa to every drive one. at the time i was still driving my 96 camry (hey i didnt owe anything and still ran like a champ) finally it had some issues in december and i needed to put about 650$ into it and i did... i left the country for 2weeks and when i came back i had my car checked out again and needed to put yet another 600 into it and i said screw it, so the dealler ate all the repairs and put me in my 04 se sport v6 :) i was about to get the same thing in a camry (3.3v6 se with groundefects) put i was going to have to wait 3 weeks because it was still on the boat. so i got my dream car :) happy me

so all i've done so far with my solara was pay with the audio... i put inifiniti 6x9s in the doors and rear (got to love 4 6x9!!!) and put a pair of alpine subs in the rear on a mtx 801D... atleast thats what i'm working with now. i want to put my alpine deck in so bad but a custom install is going to run me atleast 150 around here and if i'm spending that i might as well have them put my mtx tweeters into the custom fit area. i put dynomat in the doors and on the rear deck... and the licence plate, and the trunk is so snug that theres no reason almost to do a full trunk kit of dynomat!

the only other things i've done is custom 2tone leather seats and darkest legal tint on my driver and passenger windows and a shade darker everywhere else. oh, and i got the metal floor mats and have a billet undergrille on the way.

i've been trying to save up for my trd strut bar and springs... but now that the rear sway is here i'm just going to wait to do them all at once a couple months done the road. i've been thinking about getting the muffler but i think that i can wait untill someone comes out with a full exhaust kit.

has anyone seen a good aftermarket spoiler for the gen2???
anyone have anyword on the future TRD parts being made?
most the toyota people around here dont know/care. there isnt too many gen2s around tampa... i'll see one about every 3 days and i've only seen 3 other se v6 sports. (mostly all the cheapest 4banger... not that its a bad car)
