Hello All happy ( I hope) Solara owners!

I've had my 2004 Solara since August 31 and I had been enjoying it until i had a couple problems!

After a 3.5 inch rain a few weeks ago, i noticed water on the passenger front floorboard. I had to bring it back 3 times before they put in a NEW front windshield. This had me freaked out since i dont even have a door ding yet! But it did seem to fix the problem.

Then yesterday when driving home from work, my Check Engine, VSC, and TRAC OFF lights came on! Thats when i decided to find a forum and see if anyone else is having multiple problems!

I owned a Corolla in 1980 and a Celica in 1985 and was very pleased with both cars. Now i'm beginning to wonder about the Famous Toyota quality!

Today at lunch, the warning lights were off, so i may/may not go to my appt next week for them to diagnose it. I'm pretty tired of Toyo after the windshield incident!

thanks for Listening!

Make sure you didnt get a lemon. It's rare to get a car with so many problems but it happens.

Oh and Welcome to the forum.

Rose,

I can see why you are frustrated with Toyota. I would be, too, if I had experienced the problems you described. Speaking for myself, I have had none of those problems (knock, knock, knock). The only problems I've had with my 04 SLE are problems that other owners have mentioned as well: left drift at highway speeds and the typical rattles. I've been on this forum for a fair amount of time and the problems you mentioned are the first time I've seen them mentioned.

I would definitely take the car back to the dealership regarding your warning lights issue. And to be on the safe side, document and save everything the dealership does to the car. Ya just never know when you'll need evidence.

Best of luck. And welcome to the forum. Hopefully the circumstances of your visits will be more pleasant than this one.
