Yeah...

Go out there and make yourself happy with a V6 Solara. Try to see if you could get a 5spd. :D

FYI....Bill Page Toyota in Fall Church, Va. has a 2000 V6 5spd with 29k for $13,500. Green with black leather.

Good Luck.

Welcome, great to hear from you. The Solara is different things to different people. On one end of the spectrum, with the automatic transmission and V6, it is a sporty looking car with great pickup and shifts as smooth as glass while not overwhelming passengers with engine/road noise. On the other end, it provides a great platform for a very stylish sports car with great performance with just a few modifications and you don't see 7 of them at every traffic light like the Mustang. What do you want out of the car? -JoeB

Hey guys, thanks for the real warm welcome! I'm about to graduate from college so I'm not rolling in the moolah but I am very interested still in purchasing one soon. The V6 is definitely an attractive offer, one of my roomates is a mechanical engineer and he knows all about this stuff and is impressed with the vehicle (I told him about the site so maybe he will join). I was looking for something sporty yet smooth and refined and the Solara is looking to be what that I am looking for. I pretty much just wanted nicely tinted windows and a body kit add on (?) to the front bumper. I found this site from lookin around on cardomain.com and they have some nice ones. I'm in the college park area btw. Thanks again! Oh yeah and the 04 looks nice but I kinda like the first gen ones better, just my preference

Hey Pro! Good to see another UMD student on here! I cant remember off the top of my head if there is a toyota dealership around these parts. Maybe down on cherry hill road? or even on route 1, im not sure. Is the lure of the V6 manual 5spd the power? Just wondering why its such drool material :D Thanks again guys! woohoo! Classes just started so I was kinda busy this week but I should be dropping in regularly to learn as much as I can. 8)
