hi all .....

i dnt own a solara or in aus a camry BUT i do have the v6 motor from one and a manule box


i have a 97 mazda 626 that i have custom fitted it to ... i have it almost all done ...... and i have a few questions for the pros on this forum ... but i recon i should post it in the right place so if u read this please help hahah

ill put some pics up ... i have a pair of skyline turbos for it and a host of good gear ...

trying to get it to run right .... then mod it ... i have two -5 rb26 turbos for it ...... i have a trd lsd in it and will build a new plenum wiht 6 throttle boddies in time but for now .......

i have a problem with it ... it wont rev .. starts and idles fine ...... and light throttle is fine ...... but if i open it at all it dies

it dose the same if i disonect the afm .. so maybe an issue ther e>? any help

it has more clearence then it looks in the pic and the black paint makes the welds look crap maybe need a new cam....

Your problem definitely sounds like a MAF sensor OR TPS issue.
Hook up an OBD2 scanner see what your sensor readings look like.
Are you running the Toyota ECU or aftermarket?

yeah cheers i have taken the maf out and will test it and grab another as i think it is the problem after reading the workshop manual .

are you sure you have the maf sensor flowing in the right direction. ive seen people install their injen intake and installed the maf sensor in the wrong direction,

yeah it is facing open end towards airfilter and it is in the stock pipe i havent pulled it apart .

will the auto ecu care that it now has a manule ???
or should i serch for a manule ecu ???

or can i get one that dosent have imiboliser in it ??
