Hey all,

A little bit about me (you can skip to the next paragraph if you don't care about my life lol):

First of all i would say that there's a lot of good and helpful people around this foru. I have found many information i needed eventhough there's a lot I don't understand (I'm a car beginner noob lol). I live in Montreal, Canada and I'm 19 years old, this is my second car (i owned a honda accord coupe 99' and I just sold it). Unlike some other kids these days (no offense), I do not ask money from my parents. I work part time at a customer service center during school years and full time (diff jobs) during summertime. I earned my first and second car all by myself and i'm proud of that, eventhough i'm broke now. I played football since I was young and recently stopped to concentrate on school. I'm 6ft0 and weigh 220 lbs with 9-10% bodyfat. LOL I just realised that this sounds like an NFL draft perspect review lol sorry about that :P
Also what's unique about me is I'm of Chinese/Cambodian descendant and my girlfriend is Black (Haitian descendant). We've been together for a year and half now and we've known each other for over 7 years. I know this kind of relationship is rare and yes, ppl turn their heads on the street and I don't care what people say/think, but almost none hates, most of the ppl appreciate :)

Now here's the interesting part lol
About the car:

I'm registered since november 09 to consult and I think i read almost every thread on this forum lol so I'm a big@ss lurker untill a week ago, I finally bought the car I wanted: 1999 black solara V6 5 speed manual transmission with leather interior!! Since there's only 200 manual Solaras in Canada, it was very very very hard to find the car I wanted. Mine has almost 95k miles and it's bone stock (fully loaded tough). I paid 5400$ in total (as US/CAN dollars are about the same, do you guys think it's a good deal? I think it's an OK deal and appropriate deal). It has only 2 previous owner with the last one who drove the car for a year. The last owner is selling the car because he lost his licence for speeding. I KNOW that he floored the car alot but the car comes with a warranty from him (6 months left) which he paid 2000$. The car is very smooth and comfortable but the only problem is when i let off the wheel, if turns leftwards.

I'll make an alignment first and hope it will fix that problem. Then change the oil to full synthetic after seafoaming. Then, I don't know what to do:P
Maybe get HID's first, put some wheels, then exhaust and a CAI and a wax/compound. I won't drop the car cuz i'm planning on driving it during wintertime, as in Montreal it snows alot.

Any other suggestions are deeply appreciated!

Anyways, here's some pics:

I wouldnt be afraid to drop it abit. With Teins atleast. Your handling would improve greatly and its not that big of a drop.
On the other hand I know zero about driving in snow where you are.

I know that gap in the front wheels is ridiculously huge... If I just want to drop a little bit, let's say 1 1/2 inches, would Teins do the job?
1999 V6 5-Speed... so beautiful :' )
Black housing headlights, corner. 55w 6k HID, 2500k fogs, TWM Short Shifter+weighted knob, Tein+KYB, TRD lip kit + Acura CL type-S front lip. TSW Kyalami 18x8. Cutom 2.5" SS free flow muffler.

Ya Teins are what I have and its a Avg Lower: F(1.6"), R(1.4") So I dont think it would be that bad. Ebaichs I think are F(1.6"), R(1.6"). So you would just have to choose if you would like a upper or lower stance for the rear between the two. I liked upper so its like the car is facing down towards the ground, so I got Tiens. But ive seen Ebaichs on another Solara in person too and liked how flush it was. But id be scared of rubbing with those on my 18' wheels.
Go with Tein imo.
Make sure to do struts at the same time too. I learned the hard way when they eventually wore out and had to do that job seperately later. Which costs more on labor in the long run.
