HI - I AM NEW HERE AND MY PHONE NUMBER IS (512) 555-5555. THEY CALL ME THE CRUSIER. (lol, Jk! 8) )

I have recently defected from the Honda/Acura camp and picked up a 2007 Blizzard Pearl Solara SE Sport with 21k miles to use a a daily driver. It was literally driven by a retired [old] lady in a central TX golf/retirement community. I must say I have been lurking about as I did research on buying a Solara. This board is an excellent resource for Solaras, no doubt!

As most people on this board, I am excited to jump into some mods to TRD-up and give my Solara a bit more agressiveness and sportiness. Having just dropped a good bit of cash to acquire the car, I will need to priortize my mod purchases. My first mod's will focus on cosmetics/handling, and will expand later into performance (intake/exhaust).

Considering:

Phase 1
• Paint for Calipers - Duplicolor - High Performance Caliper Paint Kit in RED
• Lowering Springs - B&G Lowering Springs/SE Sport Struts [lifetime warranty] Front and Rear Drop: 1.4" | 1.4"
• Windscreen or Bar - Toyota Solara Convertible Windscreen - PT906-06041 or Mustang-like ‘Light Bar’ [if it will fit or installed without major work!]
• Air Intake Mod - DocJohns Mod (more air for ~$3)
• Bazooka Subwoofer - I already have this, but will need to see how to best install.
• Badges/Emblems - select TRD/Sport emblems. Grill, Dash?, Sides?, & Back

Phase 2
• Sway Bar [Front] - TRD Front Strut Tower Brace - PTR06-06041-01
• Sway Bar [Back] - TRD Rear Stabilizer Bar - PTR02-06041-01
• Wheel Spacers - Mild wheel spacers to widen the stance.

Phase 3
• Muffler - Toyota TRD Sport Muffler - PTR06-06040-25
• Intake - CPE MAFci™ System for Gen 2 Solara (3.3L) - Non-Tunable

Phase 4
• Upgrade Speaker - 6x9's all around.
• 8" Touchscreen Car PC = with Clearwire Mobile Broadband (4g/WiMax) for navigation, XM/Net radio, MP3 Jukebox, Internet browser, Movies, and more!

Let me know what you think. Looking for deals and advice on mods.

Peace!
-russell

Welcome to the site!!

The TRD front brace dosent do anymore than the stock brace, so ive heard.

The RSB is considered to be a necessity on our cars, but since youve got the sport suspension, your fine.

Throw some rims on it :)

Nice to see you did your homework. Tried to call you but no answer.... guess I'll try again later. lmao

You'd benefit from the TRD FSTB beacuse you have a 'vert. And even with the sport suspension, you will notice a night/day difference with the RSB.

Welcome!

jimmm - thanks for the feedback. Note: car image shown above is stock photography and not an actual image of the car. I will take some snaps when I get a chance. The car is pretty bone stock w/ 21k miles.

wkbrdr91 - I think you are right. The FSB is worth a try to minimize cowl shake on the convertible.

GzNutz - Keep calling, I have operators standing by...
