Hello friends. I am a new guy here. I have this '99 Solara you know. So yeah that's why I'm here cos I'm thinking of spending some money making it look a little cooler you know. Cos the car by itself looks kinda...well idunno.... I guess I just want it to look cooler, not that it looks bad right now, but still... :-)

EDIT: Dear forum members: please see pictures below. Sorry for taking so long. I am a procrastinator. Now you can see my car for real and that I am not a fraud and I am really wanting to do mods and stuff to it... :D

By the way after doing some major reading on this site and other sites, I am now amazed at the dumbness of my first posts here. lol.

Thanks to KILLA CAM for selling me those OEM tail lights. Here's how car looks after I took off those ricer lights the previous owner put on the car:

And one more thing: I have been wondering if its possible for me to take that thing into a shop and just basically tell them this: alright guys, I want it

1) lowered,
2)I want that bar thing in the back installed (that keeps it from swaying or whatever)
3)and i want that lip kit that i got here with me, i want it installed
4) i want one of them exhaust things installed that make it faster or whatever
5) and i want one of them intake things too.

So my ? is if i were to take it in for those mods, should i bring all that stuff with me? Or just let them get those parts for me (and probly not get as good of a deal on parts)?

get your own parts for sure as for having one shop put everything on its going to have to be a specialty shop i dont see any mechanic putting on a lip kit anytime soon.or you could always do it your self

lowering kits like struts springs, use the search function, rsb, rear sway bar, either trd or whiteline, exhaust depends where you live and how much money u have, i have obx headers and there complete setup, but there are others also, i have injen intakes on all 3 of my toyota's, but there is a group buy being put together for the cpe intake, as for lip kits kumari has them for about $500, i would order the stuff yourself online, body shop for lip kit, and depending where you live somebody here might know a good shop for some of the other stuff............... :drinking:

you can't just show up at a shop and say "yo gimme dat".

get your parts and bring it there... but a lot of these things you can do yourself with little or no mechanical skills (e.g. intake, HIDs, rear sway bar, etc). Things like headers and springs get a little more advanced and you can take those to a shop to get em done.

welcome!

welcome man!
Intake shouldnt take more than 10min. to install yourself.
Lip kit you can do yourself as well
Rsb also do yourself, and if you dont have mechanical skills then take the exhaust to a shop.
