My name is Kong. I'm from Sac, CA. I don't know too much about the guts of a car by would not mind learning and figuring things out. I have 2005 Solara SE (I guess that would be considered a Gen 2). About my car, so far no mods has been done to it. While back I was on the I880 in the Bay and a Corolla side-swiped a metal cylinder looking object underneath my car and took out my left front ground effect while blowing out the right tire. Had it get the tire replace of course; however, I've been trying to find the ground effects ever since. It would be to know where to buy the part for cheap. Aside from that incident, I would have to say I've pretty much been looking for bodykits (not the EVO), rims, some good performance braking pads and rotors (how do you'll feel about EBCs?), and something some engine work done.

For the gen 2 we are very limited in parts. For body kits, there are only 2: Evo and the Toyota Sport. The junkyard would be your best bet for a replacement lip.

ground effects are quite costly. word is, they go for upwards of $300 apiece brand new, so I'd agree with Garrett (Gz).. junkyard would be your best bet.

Post up pics of your Gen2 when you get a chance. and welcome to SG!

Welcome. You will find members here with lots of knowledge about the Solara and willing to share that knowledge to help others. That is after you have used search and came up empty.
