Hey there!

My names Jurrell and I am currently stationed in Beaufort, SC. I'm originally from Millersville, MD. I'm 23 years old and I'm a F-18 mechanic in the USMC. I'll keep it short, so I'll wrap it up.

I currently have a 2005 John Cooper Works MINI Cooper S. I love the car to death, but I won't drag it up to Beaufort. I picked up a 2000 Solara SE 5SP today. I won't actually see it until this weekend though.
Here's some pictures:

Here's the sellers picture, I'll take better ones once I see the car in person.

Here's my MCS:

As you can tell, I love my car. I plan on keeping the Solara pretty stock. Main changes are a DVD player, new headlights, and a new grille for now.

Just the 2005 John Cooper Works package:

The first JCW Tuning Kit to be made available for the Cooper S was a 200 bhp (150 kW) upgrade for the Cooper S. Released in 2003, the kit consisted of the following components:

- Uprated cylinder head, gas-flowed and ported

- Uprated supercharger, faster-spinning

- Uprated air intake system and air filter

- Uprated spark plugs

- Uprated exhaust system

- Remapped ECU

- Decorative badges, individually-numbered engine plate and certificate signed by Mike Cooper

At the time, the kit could not be factory-ordered, but had to be retrofitted at a MINI dealer, but from late 2005 the Cooper S could be ordered with the upgrade straight from factory.

In 2005, an additional upgrade was launched that increased power even more, to 210 bhp (160 kW), by installing uprated injectors and again remapping the ECU.

A "JCW Sound Kit" was made available at the same time, consisting of the cat-back exhaust and the air filter, giving a sportier exhaust note and a 3 bhp (2.2 kW) power increase for around €1100.

The package pretty much covered the things I would of changed if the car was stock, haha. :)

Welcome to SG!
I had a USMC buddy living in Beaufort, who would commute to the Island daily a few years back (around the time of the air show crash). While visiting him, he introduced me to Charleston, Savannah, chcken from Zaxby's and the worst humidity I had ever experienced! Great weather year round though. How long are you going to be in Beaufort?
