Hi,

Just found out about this forum.

I've just purchased my second Solara.

My first one was a 2002, 4-cylinder with 94,000. I purchased it brand new from the dealer, first brand new car I'd ever owned. I'd just finished paying it off, as well. Unfortunately, I ran into a guy on the Interstate Highway system with road rage and he cut me off and then slammed on his brakes. I swerved to miss him at about 75 mph and rolled my Solara 2 and 1/2 times. I wasn't hurt, at all, except for a severely scrapped left forearm. Landed upside down. Nothing like trying to unbuckle your seat belt while you are upside down in the car.

Just bought a second generation one. Got a 2006, V6 with only 9600 miles on it and it is Certified Pre-Owned.

Very similar to my other one, but it doesn't have a power seat on the driver's side and it has a dark interior compared to my previous tan interior.

I need to add a wind-guard reflector on the sunroof and some splash guard protectors and it will be perfect.

Okay, you are already talking "Greek" to me? What do I need to do, in plain "Texas" English? :D

You are just down the road from me. I live in the giant Metromess. I rolled it on I-35 heading down from DFW to Austin on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

What a small world. Sorry to hear about your crash.

If you look up the user NVDIS1 on this forum, its Reggie. He works for a Toyota dealership up north. He will be able to get you a TRD RSB, Toyota Racing Development Rear Sway Bar, for $150 shipped. Its the best mod you can have besides the TRD Supercharger. I got mine last Wednesday and it was worth every penny. You will experience way better handling and a lot less body roll.

Let me know if you have anymore questions. 8)

Oh now I see. Ha ha ha !!

I'm sure I need that to keep all four wheels on the ground this time.

It sure sucked rolling that 2002. I loved that car.

I'm not a mechanic at all, so I would have to get someone to install that for me. I know a guy in Austin who works for a Toyota dealership and he can do some work for me on the side, I might get him to install it for me.

More than anything right now, I want the windguard for the sunroof and the splash guards. My 02 had both of those.

If you catch CamryOnBronze he might have a sunroof deflector still for sale.....

I'm only guessing the sunroofs are the same width, you would have to double-check.

By the way, welcome! :drinking:

I guess I do mean mud guards. They were bolted onto the wheel wells of my other model. I really liked having them.

I would start by looking on Ebay and/or junk yards.
If your lucky enough you'll find'em on here. Just look in the Wanted/For sale Gen 2 Section.

Did Toyota make them for the newer generation of Solara?

Umm, not sure about that. I have a Gen 1.
I'm sure some Gen 2 owners will chime in and let you know.
