Hello all! Funny story when I bought my Solara. I had originally been in the market for a tC and had found one that was within my budget and that I actually liked. But the day I was supposed to go to the dealership to pick it up they dealer called me and told me somebody else had ignored whatever kind of "Sold" status he put on it and "unknowingly" sold it to a guy that had walked in the door the day before. Fsking bullsh*t. So he said they'd give me a deal on another car so I looked and picked out the Silver(ish green?) 04 Solara SE I4 they had on the lot. So far one thing's better that I've noticed. It's a bigger car. I'm planning on keeping it for a while so why not mod it a little? Everything on it is stock so the previous owner left me with 38k miles and a clean slate to start with. Any suggestions you have will meet an open ear and mind.

Well you'll be happy to know that your Solara I4 is the same 2AZ-FE engine in the tC so good portion of engine mods in the tC can be applied to the solara as well. If you want the best bang for your buck start with the TRD Rear Sway Bar and Front Strut Tower Brace as it will drastically improve the handling of the car..

Awesome. Thanks. Two mods I've already thought of doing is a hood decal that I designed and a better sound system than the stock. The SE doesn't come with the amp behind the glovebox does it?

Some of each. Not really going to lower the car. Roads are pretty bad around here. I've already tinted the back side windows. I was doing it myself so I had actually made mistakes and had to start over a couple times. Ended up using the whole roll of tint on just those two windows. Gonna try again on the door windows this weekend. Not really gonna worry about new rims unless I decide to get 18's. Don't like the chrome look. Gunmetal/black I like though.

Welcome to the club! :)

I would suggest a TRD rear sway bar as the first mod if you want a huge improvement in handling without costing you too much.
