Hi all, I've been around for about 3 years now and finally was able to log on again. Lost my log on ability because of lack of posting.

Anyway to start off I'm much older then the rest of you ( I have a granddaughter in college) but that doesn't lessen my enthusiasm for cars or having the best looking around. The first car I had after high school (1953) was a 1946 Ford Coupe. Black of course. I rebuilt the flat head v8 in our barn while going to college. Sold it when I went into the Navy flight training program. Bought a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 hardtop after I got my commission and wings and went to my first squadron. Got married and had a 1958 Chevy Impala hardtop, which I think was the best looking car ever built. Anyway everything was downhill car wise since then because you really don't have neat cars with a family.

Retired from the Navy after 23 years and then really retired in 01.

I have a 99 Solara SLE that I bought in November of 98 and have enjoyed it ever since. I try to keep my cars like they came from the dealer. Cars are not just transportation they are a source of pride. I've done a few things to my car: TRD muffler, Blue lights on entire dash, CPE induction, Wood and Leather steering wheel. and a few others. Here are a few pictures (I hope).

whoa. welcome back.
how did you do the blue lights, cuz those look like leds, everyone who has tried leds (not custom) have failed. ive seen different kinds of 194 led bulbs out there, which kind did you use? I want to have it the exact way you have it (in your instrument display with the tachs, spedo, etc)..
let me know.
where many hate, few will love,
But for those who love,
they'll see what it's like to live.

I love the blue instrumentation. Looks real nice. I also really like the steering wheel. Is that stock, or did you change it out. I would like one like that for my gen2.

Looks nice and clean. If you could make the TRD auto shifter work it would look much nicer.

I disagree with the assertion that The TRD Shifter would look better. The shifter that's in there now caught my eye favorably at first glance.

Wow man you did it right! Very clean. Even though you lay low on the threads you have a lot of the Solara goodies.

I'm curious about those blues as well. Let us know
