Sup there SG,

I've been posting on here for maybe a month, and I think it's time that I do a intro. Before the Solara, I use to drive a 94' Camry LE I4 auto. It was a good car, but I was really wanting something that is manual, and had more power. I wanted to stick with Toyota, I like how reliable they are and I like their smooth styling. They are a brand that just demands respect ya know? 8) In addition to manual, more power, I also wanted to get a coupe and something that is relatively new. This naturally left me with two choices, the Toyota Celica GT-S or the Toyota Solara V6 SE. After about two months of searching, I found the car I was looking for in North Hollywood, two hours away from my house (i'm from San Diego). The car checked out nicely and nothing was wrong with it, I bought the same day I checked it out. The car I drive now is a 99' Solara V6 SE with the 5-speed manual tranny. The color is Black Metallic. Just what I wanted... I was pretty happy driving home, finally driving a car I picked and exactly what I wanted, not a pass me down or anything.

So without any further delay, here's my car right when I drove it home:

completely stock.

I don't need to bore you guys with any more stock picture of a Solara, you guys already know what one looks like.

So far, the mods I got on there are tinted windows 5% in the back 3 and 30% in the front two. I got my wheels re-colored, graphite. It's like a lighter gunmetal-type color. I also got 6000k HID's from ProLumen. Not many people heard of them, but they're great. They provide a lifetime warranty and customer service is awesome, I've spoken to the guy there a couple of time. In addition, I also got 2500K Nokya Yellow's in my fog lights. It gives an overall nice image. Another mod would be that I changed the bulbs behind the instrument panel to Xtreme white bulbs from PIAA, they look pretty nice IMO. I like the stock face already so I didn't want to get those aftermarket white-face gauges. Another random mod include a "Type R" shift knob. I know I know, I drive Toyota, but hey, that shift knob looks pretty cool. I also got a Alpine receiver with a Sirius subscription, I like my music.

that's about it for now.

As far as future mods goes. I bought some TEIN S-Type springs, they sitting in my bedroom, soon to be installed once I get my hands on some Tokico HP Blues shocks. I'm also planning to install that TWM SS when I get some time. TRD RSB is also in the future, maybe getting it from CASTRO. yep... nice meeting ya'll :D

haha, yeah, there are 5 bulbs in the back, I only changed 4, so the last bulb that isn't change is left stock for now... it's affecting only the very right of the instrument panel. i.e. 5-6k RPM range.

and sorry bout the quality on some of the pictures, they were taken with a cell phone.
