Introduction and question

Postby Solarizona » Tue Oct 03, 2006 3:20 pm

Hey everyone. I’ve been lurking around for some time now and thought I’d finally introduce myself. I just bought a 2002 DWP SLE on Saturday and freakin’ love it. I had a 1999 silver SLE before that, but it was stolen then salvaged hence the new one.

Now I already have a question I need some help with. I bought Tokico struts and Eibach springs for the ’99 but the car was stolen before I had the chance to put them in. Before I bought the ’02 I was told the struts would fit; now I’m being told that they won’t. I’ve checked with 4 different local shops including a dealer and no one can give me a positive answer. So, does anyone know if they’ll fit? If not, what are people using for the 2002’s? Thanks.

Wow, that sucks that your first Solara was stolen....
But great that you picked another Solara.

Welcome :D

There's really only cosmetic changes from the 99-01 and 02-03. Headlights, front bumper, grille, corner lights, and I believe some minor interior changes.

Welcome to SolaraGuy; sorry to hear about your old ride, but glad you decided to stay with the Solara. The suspension would fit, and to explain what 00seV6man said, the taillights are a direct replacement if you're interested.
