New Convertible Owner

Postby GaryPSU » Tue Jun 13, 2006 8:50 am

Hi:
I'm a 60 year old kid from southern New Jersey who purchased a new SLE convertible ten days ago. I was happy to find a web site that was named "Solara Guy" because everyone has been busting me about buying a "girls car". I've owned 3 Vettes, a GTO, etc. over the years, but decided that comfort and room for the grandkids was more of a priority now. I got the car home and the A/C wasn't working. It's going back for repair tomorrow. Other than that, it's great so far.

Hey, welcome to the site. Don't worry, there are PLENTY of guys out there who own Solaras, and it's as masculine of a car as you make out of it!

What year did you wind up going for? Color? Any plans for it, or will this be a regular "daily cruiser"? I'm sure you'll be very happy with your purchase!

Take care,

-James

Thanks!
It's Lunar Mist with a black top and gray leather. It's a 2006. I'm aware that the 2007's are almost here, but I got a very good price, and the changes for '07 will be relatively minor.

Your a stand up guy, thinking of your family first. More power to you!!!

First off, your car can look so HOT with 20" chrome rims and 1 step further, new springs and struts to make the ride stiffer and lower it almost 2". A very agressive look.

Other than that, congrat's!!!!!
