Hey all -

I just got rid of my '01 Tundra (was a long-time active member over at Tundrasolutions.com) and was surfing around for a similar forum for Solaras... this looks like it might just be the place... ??

Anyway - love the ride even stock, but I can't ever leave well enough alone (you should have seen my over-modded Tundra!) - so I'll be looking for tips and tricks here.

See ya - Jeff :)

Hey, welcome to the forums. This is definitely the place for anything and everything Solara related :-D There's not a whole lot of performance mods available for the Gen 2 Solara, but there's definitely some fun stuff to do with it. Post some pics!

Take care,

-James

Cool - exactly where I was going with my thoughts... although I might just go with ground effects before the rims since I at least got the premium 17"s with my SLE - and I can burn off some of that horrible factory rubber while I break 'er in! ;)

Thanks again for the quick response!

Thanks for the hearty welcome guys! 8)

I'll be checking out the different mod threads and posting progress pics of my ride along the way.

Say - is there any regular SoCal meets?

It's not regular and the turnout isn't too big, but we could start one.

Kewl! :)

It'll be interesting how different our rides will be once we get the mods under-way! ;)

Was thinking about the TRD springs but now it looks like too many people are having probs with theirs so I may look at the other manufacturers out there.

I'm all for local/regional meets!

I put together a SoCal meet about a year ago for the TundraSolutions.com group out at Tom's Farms (Corona, CA) and we still got over 60 trucks out there on a rainy day! That's still the biggest meet they've had nationally to date - but it just takes commitment on member's part to participate. ;)

welcome to the site!!! if you end up buying new wheels for your car, you should keep me in mind for your gen 2 wheels... especially considering that you're like 10 miles from me! haha

I'm sure you're loving your car as much as we all do. Plus, you couldn't live in a better city to drive that car in!

Have you already cruised down 2nd street with the top down? I'm sure you have.

We should have a Seal Beach/Long Beach meet, then cruise up PCH to HB for some drinks.

Again - thanks for all the "welcome" messages! I'm really glad to see such an active forum! :)

Yes Assyrian - I've cruised all up and down PCH already - almost daily right now! :) I live just over the water from 2nd street (over by Marine Stadium in Spiniker Bay) and ride my bike over there all the time as well... but cruising down Ocean Blvd and down Pine st. are fun as well. Let's plan a locals meet and cruise and get that beer up in HB some time! :D

Thanks again - Jeff
